Executing the mandates of 'Operation Prahar 3.0' launched by the Punjab Police to root out gangsters and organized crime, the Ludhiana Commissionerate Police carried out a massive, synchronized district-wide crackdown today.
Beginning at the dawn hour of 4:00 AM, a powerful force of 400 police personnel—spearheaded by 20 Gazetted Officers, 25 SHOs, and Inspectors—swung into action.
The Commissioner of Police, Swapan Sharma, IPS informed that utilizing intelligence-backed tracking data, the teams launched simultaneous raids targeting notorious criminal hotspots and hideouts across the entire district.

The district-wide search operations led to the recovery of substantial quantities of narcotics, illegal weapons, smuggled liquor, and vehicle assets:
*Contraband & Narcotics*: 141 Grams of Heroin, 10 Grams of Ice, and 217 Intoxicating Tablets.
*Illegal Weapons*: 03 Country-made Pistols and 02 Live Cartridges.
*Smuggled Liquor*: 11 Boxes and 33 Bottles of illicit liquor (including Desi liquor and Whiskey).
*Vehicles & Assets*: 1 SUV, 5 Motorcycles, 3 Mobile Phones, and 2,027 rupees in cash recovered from gambling spots.
*Drug Paraphernalia*: 8 Lighters, 7 Aluminium Foils, and rolled currency notes used for drug consumption.
The Commissioner said that "Operation Prahar 3.0 is a zero-tolerance directive against anti-social elements. Today's early morning sweeps prove that our forces are deep in the field, working on precise intelligence to disrupt criminal networks. No gangster, drug peddler, or smuggler will be allowed to breach the peace of Ludhiana."
