PM Modi should come forward & tell people truth about country’s condition: Bhagwant Singh Mann

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has expressed concern over PM Narendra Modi urging citizens to reduce consumption of petrol, diesel and edible oil, while also cutting spending on gold and other expensive items, questioning whether the country is heading towards a major economic crisis. AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal demanded that the Prime Minister reveal the country’s “real economic condition”, while Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Singh revealed that the Centre is preaching ‘swadeshi’ while taking decisions under the influence of the White House and pursuing policies that could hurt Indian agriculture.

AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal stated, “The Prime Minister has advised all citizens of the country to cut down on eating and drinking expenses, travelling, outings and foreign trips. He has also advised people to reduce the purchase of gold and other precious items. Is this a sign of an economic emergency in the country? Has the country fallen into a severe economic crisis? Such a thing has never happened in the country before. The Prime Minister should place the truth before the nation. What is the real economic condition of the country after all?”

Meanwhile, Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann also attacked the Prime Minister over his advice to adopt ‘swadeshi’ and minimise the purchase of foreign goods. He said, “The Prime Minister is a master of words, but he should speak the truth before the country. It is well known that at present India’s strings are being controlled by the White House because every decision is being taken only with the approval of the White House. Even on issues like the India Pakistan faceoff, the ceasefire announcement was made by American officials, which raises a serious question mark over the country’s sovereignty.”

He added, “Even though the rulers of the country claim to be ‘Vishwaguru’, the reality is that they are moving towards becoming ‘Vishwachela’ because the orders of the White House are being followed blindly. The Prime Minister made big claims regarding Make in India, but his steps like allowing FDI even in the defence sector have ruined the country. The proposed India US trade agreement can further damage Indian agriculture.”

The youth of the country will have to launch a decisive fight against paper leaks: Arvind Kejriwal

The AAP Chief reacted strongly to the NEET examination paper leak and said, “Every year, 7 crore youth appear for examinations for admission into engineering and medical colleges and for government jobs. But paper leak gangs operating under political protection are breaking the trust and morale of these youth. The mafia involved in paper leaks and the leaders protecting them are enemies of the country. These people are hollowing out the foundation of the nation. Governments have become partners in this crime. The youth will have to launch a decisive nationwide fight against this.”
