Under the leadership of BJP District President Rajnish Dhiman, BJP workers today staged a massive protest outside the Ludhiana Police Commissioner’s office and raised slogans against the police administration. During the protest, BJP workers gheraoed the Police Commissioner’s office and symbolically handed over locks and chains to the ADCP.
Former Punjab BJP MP Amrik Singh Aliwal, District General Secretary Anil Sareen, Vice President Jatinder Mittal, Secretary Renu Thapar and Treasurer Gurdev Sharma Debi were specially present during the protest demonstration.
Addressing the gathering, BJP District President Rajnish Dhiman said that the law and order situation in Punjab has completely collapsed and the police administration is functioning under the pressure of the Aam Aadmi Party. He alleged that yesterday AAP workers gheraoed the BJP district office, pushed BJP workers and attacked them, all in the presence of Punjab Police. He further claimed that the police had accompanied AAP workers and failed to take any action against those involved in the alleged hooliganism and attacks on BJP workers.
Dhiman stated that BJP knows how to fight democratically for its rights and warned that the biased functioning of the Punjab Police administration would not be tolerated. He added that if injustice against BJP workers continues, the party will intensify its agitation in the coming days.
