AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal Attends Grand Krishna Janmashtami Celebration In Punjabi Bagh

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Friday invoked the message of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita at a grand Krishna Janmashtami celebration in Punjabi Bagh, praying for an end to the problems confronting the country and peace, prosperity and happiness for its people. Offering prayers to Lord Krishna, the AAP Chief said that whenever sin rises on earth, God incarnates to destroy evil and uphold Dharma, and expressed hope that Lord Krishna would fill the lives of devotees with happiness and remove the sufferings of all citizens.
Addressing devotees gathered at the celebration, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said, “This is the 50th Janmashtami celebration organised by the committee, which had been observing the festival continuously at the venue for the past five decades. I congratulate the committee on completing 50 years of celebrating Janmashtami. A large number of people have come with their families and children to celebrate Janmashtami with great enthusiasm and witness the tableaux. I pray to God to bless everyone present here with immense happiness, fulfil their wishes, bring peace and happiness to every household and keep everyone healthy.”
Reflecting on the message of the Bhagavad Gita, the AAP Chief said that the festival of Janmashtami carries a profound message about the triumph of Dharma over evil. “The Shrimad Bhagwat Gita says, ‘Yada Yada Hi Dharmasya Glanir Bhavati Bharat.’ Whenever sin increases greatly, God Himself has to take birth on earth. The essence of this teaching is that God, through His divine power, brings an end to evil and restores Dharma,” he said.
Expressing concern over the problems being faced by people, he prayed for divine intervention to bring relief to citizens. “Today, there are many problems all around us. On this occasion, I pray to God to cast His merciful gaze upon us and remove the problems of the people. May God bring happiness to everyone, keep the people prosperous and content, cure their illnesses and bless our country with continued progress,” he said.
Earlier, Arvind Kejriwal extended his greetings to the people on Krishna Janmashtami through a social media post. “Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki. Heartiest greetings to all of you on Shri Krishna Janmashtami. May Lord Krishna always inspire you to follow the path of Dharma and may your homes always be filled with peace and happiness. This is my prayer,” he stated.
