Bjp Gets Major Boost In Sangrur As Aap Councillors, Senior Sad Leader Join Party

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) received a major political boost in Sangrur on Thursday as two sitting Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) municipal councillors and a senior leader associated with the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) joined the BJP.
Those who joined the BJP include Parminder Singh (Pinkey), sitting councillor from Ward No. 26 and former AAP BC Wing office-bearer; Harpreet Singh Sekhon, sitting councillor from Ward No. 24; and Lalit Garg, former senior SAD leader and former AAP district-level leader.
The leaders joined the BJP in the presence of Punjab BJP State President Sardar Kewal Singh Dhillon and State General Secretary Jiwan Garg.
Welcoming the new entrants, Dhillon said the joining of elected representatives and experienced political leaders from different parties reflects growing confidence in the BJP’s leadership and policies. He said their experience and public connect would further strengthen the party organisation in Sangrur and surrounding areas.
The newly joined leaders expressed confidence in the BJP leadership and said they would work to strengthen the party organisation and take its policies and programmes to the people.
With the entry of sitting AAP councillors and a senior SAD leader, the BJP has gained fresh political strength at the grassroots level in Sangrur.
