Ludhiana Launches Daan Utsav 5.0; 70+ Institutions and 40+ Collection Centres to Participate
Ludhiana, September 17, 2026: CityNeeds, in association with the Municipal Corporation Ludhiana, has launched Daan Utsav 5.0 — the Festival of Giving, which will be celebrated from October 2 to 8, 2026.
The campaign brings together citizens, educational institutions, NGOs, industries, clubs and volunteers to promote giving, reuse and community participation.
The launch was graced by S. Jasdev Sekhon, Assistant Commissioner; Sh. Maneet Dewan, Founder, CityNeeds; and Ms. Harleen Kaur, Founder, Act Humane.
As the Title Partner, Act Humane will help amplify the message of compassionate giving and encourage wider citizen participation. Do Good Foundation and Mona Leaves Kyari, as Support Partners, will assist with community mobilisation and campaign outreach.
Marshal Aid Foundation, the Logistics Partner, will coordinate the collection and movement of donated material. Leaf Berry, the Publicity Partner, will strengthen the campaign's public visibility, while 1000thingsinLudhiana, the Digital Partner, will promote participation through digital and social-media channels. Ek Noor Sewa Kender, the Hospitality Partner, will support guest hospitality and on-ground arrangements.
Daan Utsav 5.0 is powered by MAAC Animation Institutions, which has deputed its expert team for campaign content creation, including videos, reels and other visual communication assets.

The donated material will be sorted and directed to participating organisations according to their specific requirements.
How the Donations Will Be Used
Grocery: Neki Ki Rasoi, represented by Hardesh Jain, will use grocery donations to provide food to 700 patients across seven hospitals and more than 100 senior citizens.
Books: Helping Hands Club, led by Raman Goel, will add donated books to its Book Bank for students who cannot afford new books.
Clothes & Sanitary Napkins: Bhavya Dev, represented by Manpreet Juneja, will distribute these through its monthly Sewa Day to more than 3,000 registered families in slum communities.
Toys: Clio Care, represented by Dr. Mahak Bansal, will use donated toys for children covered under its beneficiary outreach.
Stationery: Do Good Foundation, represented by Jasmine Pahwa; Sneh Welfare, represented by Kirtti Grover; Team JJS, represented by Puneeta Goel; and Asha Chinh, represented by Paras, will use stationery for children and learning-related needs.
Toiletries: Sneh Welfare will distribute toiletries among its beneficiaries.
Dog Feed: Sulbha Jindal will use donated dog feed for the care of stray animals.
Bird Feed: Marshal Aid Foundation, represented by Mandeep Keshav Guddu, will use bird feed for bird-feeding initiatives.
Bedding, Utensils & Small Appliances: These items will be matched with verified NGO and family requirements.
E-waste: Electronic waste will be channelled for responsible recycling.
