Around 25 young girls tie rakhi to DC Himanshu Jain, IAS, and AIG Simrat Pal Singh Dhindsa
Marking the spirit of Rakshabandhan, Aas Ehsaas NGO organised a warm and meaningful interaction where around 25 young girls tied rakhi to Sh. Himanshu Jain, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana and Sh. Simrat Pal Singh Dhindsa, Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police, celebrating the timeless bond of affection, protection and mutual respect.
The occasion was also attended by Gunjeet Ruchi Bawa, Vice Chairperson, Punjab Child Rights Commission, who joined the girls in marking the festival and encouraged them to celebrate relationships built on trust, dignity and responsibility.
As a special gesture, Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain, IAS, gifted presents to all the girls who tied rakhi, bringing added joy to the celebration. He also encouraged the girls to study hard, remain focused on their goals and work towards building a bright and successful future.
The young participants, including Neha, Sumegha, Mannat, Naina, Riya Jindal, Karamjeet Kaur, Ananya, Radha Kumari, Komal, Ujala, Mehak Tiwari, Heena Rani, Shakshi Mishra, Swati Kandari, Gurwinder Kaur, Mehak Kour, Jasleen Kaur, Anshika Rana, Khushi, Priyanka, Srishti, Sakshi Kumari, Lovepreet and Vanshika Jindal, expressed their happiness at being able to celebrate Rakshabandhan with senior public officials who work towards the safety and welfare of society.
The officials warmly welcomed the girls and appreciated the initiative by Aas Ehsaas NGO for creating a meaningful platform that brings children and young people closer to the community's public institutions.
