Punjab Congress strengthens direct connect with workers ahead of 2027; 18 districts covered in 9 days under Har Booth Congress Majboot
Raja Warring thanks Congress workers for overwhelming participation; says weekly interaction will strengthen organisation and help shape 2027 strategy
Chandigarh, August 9: Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today expressed his gratitude to Congress workers and volunteers across the state for their enthusiastic participation in the party’s #HarBoothCongressMajboot campaign, under which 18 districts have been covered in just nine days.
The campaign has now entered a new phase with “Sunday with Warring and Warriors”, under which Raja Warring will interact directly with Congress workers and volunteers every Sunday, listen to their experiences and take regular feedback from the ground. The initiative is aimed at establishing a continuous and direct connect between the Punjab Congress leadership and grassroots workers.
Under this initiative, every Sunday will be dedicated to connecting with Congress volunteers, listening to their experiences, understanding issues at the grassroots level and, most importantly, taking direct feedback from workers about the ground situation in their respective areas. This feedback will help the party understand the concerns of people, assess the organisation at the booth level and further strengthen coordination between the leadership and grassroots workers.
Raja Warring said that the overwhelming response from Congress workers during the meetings across the 18 districts has given the party renewed energy and confidence as it prepares for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.
He thanked every Congress worker and volunteer who participated in the meetings, travelled from different parts of their districts and contributed their time and energy to strengthening the organisation.
“I am deeply grateful to every Congress worker and volunteer who stood with us during these meetings. The energy, enthusiasm and commitment that we have witnessed across Punjab has been phenomenal. These workers are the real strength of the Congress organisation,” Warring said.
He said that the purpose of “Sunday with Warring and Warriors” is not merely to hold meetings, but to create a continuous two-way channel of communication between the party leadership and its grassroots workers.
“From now on, every Sunday, I will directly interact with our volunteers, listen to them and take their feedback from the ground. Our workers are our eyes and ears on the ground. They understand the issues of their villages, towns, booths and communities, and their feedback will be extremely important in shaping our strategy and preparation for 2027,” he said.
Warring said the initiative would ensure that the voice of the grassroots worker reaches the party leadership and that the organisation remains connected with the realities on the ground.
“We will not only speak to our workers; we will listen to them. We will take their feedback, understand the challenges they are facing and identify where the organisation needs to improve. This direct and continuous connectivity with our workers will make Congress stronger at every level,” he said.
Warring said that the Congress organisation is preparing well in advance for the 2027 elections and that the focus will remain on strengthening every booth, building a strong volunteer network and ensuring that every Congress worker feels connected with the larger mission of bringing about political change in Punjab.
He said the #HarBoothCongressMajboot campaign is not simply an organisational exercise but the beginning of a larger movement to reconnect Congress with every booth, village, family and section of Punjab.
“18 districts are done, but our work has only begun. From every booth to every village and from every worker to every family, we are preparing the ground for 2027. The Congress organisation is ready, our workers are ready and Punjab is ready for change,” Warring said.
Warring said that the party’s vision goes beyond strengthening the organisation and preparing for elections. The ultimate objective is to work together with the people of Punjab for the state’s development and progress. He said that the voices, experiences and suggestions of people at the grassroots level would be important in understanding Punjab’s priorities and shaping the party’s vision for the future.
“We want to build the Punjab of the future together with the people of Punjab. Our workers will remain connected with the people, listen to their concerns and bring their voices to the party leadership. The development agenda of Punjab cannot be decided in isolation; it must be shaped by the aspirations and needs of the people themselves,” Warring said.
He added that the Congress would work towards building a stronger, more prosperous and progressive Punjab by taking people, workers and communities together.
The Punjab Congress President said that the coming months would see an even greater focus on grassroots mobilisation, volunteer engagement, regular ground-level feedback and strengthening the party’s organisational structure across the state.
“Sunday with Warring and Warriors” will now become a regular weekly platform where Raja Warring will interact directly with Congress volunteers, listen to their concerns, take feedback from the ground and work with them to further strengthen the organisation and prepare a people-centric vision for Punjab ahead of the 2027 elections.
