Punjab Education Revolution: Aap And Rayat Bahra University Join Hands On Teachers’ Day; Manish Sisodia Calls For World-class Education System

 Rayat Bahra Professional University, Hoshiarpur, in joint collaboration with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), commemorated Teachers’ Day with a state-level educational convention organized on campus. The event was presided over by Sardar Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chairman of the Rayat Bahra Group & Chancellor of the University, and Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Chander Mohan. Former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The convention saw prominent participation from key political leaders and administrators, including S. Jai Krishan Singh Rouri, Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha; Dr. Ravjot Singh, Cabinet Minister, Government of Punjab; Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal, Member of Parliament; Sh. Brahm Shankar Jimpa, MLA Hoshiarpur; S. Karamveer Singh Ghuman, MLA Dasuya; S. Jasvir Singh Raja Gill, MLA Tanda; Dr. Ishank Kumar, MLA Chabbewal; Smt. Aashika Jain (I.A.S.), Deputy Commissioner of Hoshiarpur; Mrs. Parveen Saini, Mayor of Hoshiarpur; and S. Sarabjot Singh Sabi, Constituency Incharge Mukerian.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Manish Sisodia emphasized that modernizing educational infrastructure and introducing advanced pedagogical frameworks across schools and universities are imperative steps toward securing the future of Punjab’s youth. He remarked that real societal transformation begins directly inside classrooms, adding that empowering educators with modern tools and upgrading basic learning spaces into world-class facilities will establish Punjab as a leading global hub of academic excellence.
Underlining the institution’s vision, Chairman S. Gurvinder Singh Bahra highlighted the foundational role of educators in national development, stating that the Rayat Bahra Group remains steadfast in bridging academic instruction with global competency and industry readiness while extending full institutional support to all progressive reforms that elevate Punjab's learning landscape. Complementing this, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Chander Mohan observed that higher education institutions must actively foster research, innovation, and critical thinking through adaptive learning ecosystems that prepare students to meet evolving international challenges. The convention concluded with Chairman Gurvinder Singh Bahra and VC Dr. Chander Mohan presenting a formal vote of thanks to all visiting ministers, parliamentarians, legislators, administrative officials, and educators for their collective dedication to advancing quality education across the state.
