*Mann Government's ‘Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan’ Reviving Punjab’s Sports Culture by Taking Sports to Every Village and Ward: Meet Hayer*
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer on Saturday shared details about the fourth season of ‘Khedan Vatan Punjab Diyan’, highlighting the inclusion of Cosco cricket in the sporting extravaganza for the first time.
Congratulating cricket enthusiasts across Punjab, Meet Hayer said that there had been a continuous demand for the inclusion of cricket in ‘Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan’. Responding to this demand, the Mann Government has included Cosco cricket in the fourth season, providing cricket lovers, particularly those playing in villages and cities, an opportunity to participate in the state’s flagship sporting event.
“Cricket lovers have been demanding that this time cricket should be included in ‘Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan’. I am particularly happy to announce that Cosco cricket has been included for the first time this year. I congratulate all cricket enthusiasts across Punjab on this,” said Meet Hayer.
He said that teams can be formed at the village level, while people living in cities can also form teams at the ward level and participate in the games. He urged cricket lovers to come forward in large numbers and register their teams for the competition.
Meet Hayer informed that online registration for participation can be completed till September 10 through the official Punjab Sports Department website,
sports.punjab.gov.in. He appealed to players and sports enthusiasts to complete their registration at the earliest and ensure maximum participation.
“The objective is not just to organize competitions, but to revive and further strengthen Punjab’s sports culture. I appeal to cricket lovers to form their village or ward teams and participate in large numbers,” he said.
Meet Hayer said that ‘Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan’ is an important initiative of the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to reconnect the people of Punjab, especially its youth, with sports and create a stronger sporting culture across the state.
He encouraged cricket teams from villages and cities to prepare well and compete with determination so that their teams could emerge among the best in Punjab.
He said the inclusion of Cosco cricket would give grassroots cricket players a new platform to showcase their talent and participate in a state-level sporting event, further strengthening the culture of community participation in sports across Punjab.
