Reaffirming Chief Minister S Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab Government's commitment to employee welfare, Punjab Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Minister S. Gurmeet Singh Khudian held separate meetings with delegations of Punjab Mandi Board contractual employees, Mandi Board Workers' Union and Veterinary Inspectors to hear their demands and grievances at Kisan Bhawan here on Wednesday.
During the discussions, S. Gurmeet Singh Khudian reviewed their specific demands related to operations, regularisation and service matters. He directed senior officials of both the Punjab Mandi Board and the Animal Husbandry Department to ensure immediate redressal of all matters that fall within the departments’ purview.
While assuring the delegations that the issues raised in their memorandums would be examined on priority, S. Khudian said that all genuine demands and grievances would be resolved in a time-bound manner.
Principal Secretary Animal Husbanded, Dairy Development and Fisheries Mr. Rahul Bhandari, Director Mr. Paramdeep Singh Walia and other senior officials of the department and the Punjab Mandi Board also attended the meetings.
