The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has revealed that a plan was being prepared to target it with a fabricated case ahead of the Punjab elections, similar to the allegations it faced before the Delhi elections. AAP Delhi Unit President Saurabh Bharadwaj said the plan had been underway for the past two months, with the BJP government intending to link the party to crores of rupees received from drug traffickers just before the elections.

The AAP Delhi Unit President pointed out that 58 companies were registered at the AAP headquarters address between July 19 and September 15, under the precise watch of a Central government department, to build a narrative that the party was operating hundreds of shell companies. He has now questioned how 58 GST registrations could have been made under different names at the address of a government residence and demanded an investigation.

Addressing a press conference, AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj, “Before the Delhi elections, new false allegations were levelled against the Aam Aadmi Party every day and it was said that there had been a multi-crore scam in liquor. But after defeating the Aam Aadmi Party dishonestly in the Delhi elections, they could not even file a chargesheet in that case. The court discharged them at the chargesheet stage itself, saying that no case was made out.”

The AAP Delhi Unit Chief noted, “In exactly the same way, before the 2022 Punjab elections, it was said that Khalistanis had funded the Aam Aadmi Party. It was said that evidence had come in, that crores of rupees had arrived and that a case was about to be registered. But later, the government itself told the court that no such case was made out.”

Revealing another major conspiracy being prepared ahead of the 2027 Punjab elections, Saurabh Bharadwaj stated, “Before the February 2027 elections, sometime in December or January, the BJP government would plant this news everywhere that crores of rupees were coming to the AAP from drug traffickers and that the AAP was operating hundreds of shell companies, for which everyone would be sent to jail. For one or two months, this would continue: which company it was, whose name it was registered in, where the money came from, where the money went and so on. The BJP government would create an entire conspiracy to defeat the Aam Aadmi Party in the elections.”

He revealed that between July 19 and September 15, 58 businesses had been registered, along with their GST registrations, at the address of the Aam Aadmi Party’s National Office, located in the 1, Canning Lane area of New Delhi. He stated, “Those who run businesses know that GST registration does not happen easily. If a registration has been made at the address of the AAP’s office, the first thing that should have come to the mind of a GST officer is that 1, Canning Lane is a government bungalow. How can any private company or business be registered there? No one can purchase this place and no one can rent it out. So, prima facie, this simply could not have happened.”

Explaining the requirements for GST registration, the AAP Delhi Unit Chief stated, “When registering a business, OTP authentication of the Aadhaar card of the person running it has to be completed. To show that the premises belong to you, a water or electricity bill and property tax documents in your name have to be provided. If the premises are shown as rented, the landlord’s rent agreement, electricity bill and NOC have to be provided.”

He continued, “Apart from this, a photograph has to be taken of the business board outside the place of business, showing that the business actually operates from there. In such a situation, our direct question to the Central government is: how did these 58 businesses get registered at the address of the Aam Aadmi Party’s national office?”

Saurabh Bharadwaj further stated that all 58 businesses were registered at the same address. He stated, “For example, one GST number is 07AHKPC920F3ZJ, whose legal name is Vikas Chaudhary and trade name is Priyanka. Similarly, registrations have been made in the names of Asha Enterprises, Mohammad Ahmad, Faizan Ahmad, Mohammad Asad Qureshi, Afzal, Mohammad Dilshad, Safia Khanam, Seema Parveen, Kashif Siddiqui, Sarfaraz and Mohammad Faizan, among others, and their nature of business has been mentioned as import-export. While issuing a GST number, the GST officer often also comes to the place of business for physical verification.”

Questioning the Central government over the registrations, Saurabh Bharadwaj asserted, “Has the Central government fallen to such a level today that, simply to defeat one party in an election, it will resort to any lie? They only have to run the lie for one month. They do not have to conduct any investigation after that because the agencies are theirs. They would form an SIT, the ED would register a case, the CBI would be sent the case and the Home Minister would say that Punjab is a border state and this is a sensitive matter for the country.”

“Sensational revelations would be made for one month and the BJP would defeat the AAP in the elections. Then people would write articles in the media about the reasons for the Aam Aadmi Party’s defeat in Punjab, but nobody would write that the biggest reason was dishonesty,” he pointed out.

Saurabh Bharadwaj further stated that the complete details of the registrations, including their dates and Aadhaar verification, were available on the GST website. “The complete details of these registrations, their dates and the Aadhaar verification are available on the GST website. When the Aadhaar card is entered, the OTP that is requested has also been verified. The Central government must answer what conspiracy was being carried out and, after investigating it, tell us who was involved. From which servers and computers was this registration exercise being conducted and which officers came here for verification?”

“Between July 2026 and September 2026, these 58 businesses were registered in just two months. We submitted a complaint regarding this on Saturday, September 19, to the Principal Chief Commissioner of GST, the Commissioner of Trade and Taxes and the New Delhi Police Commissioner, but there has been no response from them so far,” he stated.
