The sudden demise of Kartar Singh Sahambi, a former Joint Director Punjab sports department and also a District Sports officer at Ludhiana has shocked the sports persons fraternity.
Teja Singh Dhaliwal Punjab Basketball Association recalled his hard work, talent and commitment to sports . Sehmby nurtured and produced numerous players who brought laurels to Punjab at the State, National and International levels.. His demise is a great loss to the sports fraternity , said Dhaliwal.
Sanjeev Sharma , a popular athletics coach from the city too while paying tributes said Sehmbi was an excellent administrator and a dedicated player and a coach too. Brij Goyal from District Basketball Association has also paid condolences along with many others.
