Phagwara remained completely shut today during the Punjab Bandh called by Sikh organizations demanding the release of the imprisoned Sikhs, Children were seen playing cricket in the markets like on Sunday. Police patrolling was very heavy in the city and there was a traffic jam on GT Road for some time. All parties and city residents kept their businesses closed to make this bandh a success.
