*Women Commission issues notice in matter regarding use of derogatory language against woman leader by BJP leader Surjit Kumar Jyani*

The Punjab State Women Commission today has taken suo moto notice of a complaint received from Aam Aadmi Party leader from Fazilka Mrs. Suhani Doda and news aired on TV channels.
Giving information in this regard, Chairperson of Punjab State Women Commission Mrs. Raj Lali Gill said that as per the complaint received from Mrs. Suhani Doda and news aired on TV channels, BJP leader Surjit Kumar Jyani used derogatory language against Mrs. Suhani Doda during a political programme organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party recently at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk in Abohar. Acting on it, the Commission has ordered the Senior Superintendent of Police, Fazilka to get this matter investigated by a senior officer of SP rank and submit a report regarding action taken to the Commission by 25.09.2026.
