Bjp’s Anti-drug Rallies Completely Flop; Central Government Cannot Intimidate Aam Aadmi Party Through Ed Raids: Mla Amansher Singh Shery Kalsi

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab leader and MLA Amansher Singh Shery Kalsi launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), saying that the BJP’s “drama” in the name of anti-drug rallies and roadshows in Punjab has completely flopped. BJP leaders had expected that the people would welcome them, but across Punjab, the people strongly opposed them. When the BJP realised its failure and faced opposition, it once again turned to its old strategy of directing the ED towards Punjab.

Addressing a press conference along with Punjab Youth Welfare Board Chairman Parminder Singh Goldy, Shery Kalsi said that today the BJP government got a raid conducted at GMADA in Mohali, and then got the ED to raid the house of the PA of our Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian. He said this is direct proof that the BJP is indulging in cheap politics solely on the strength of the ED and central agencies. The BJP is under the misconception that it can frighten or pressure Aam Aadmi Party leaders, workers and honest officers of Punjab.

Warning the BJP, MLA Kalsi said that the tactics it had adopted in Bengal and Delhi would never succeed in Punjab. Punjab is the land of revolutionary heroes and warriors, and its people and leaders are not going to be afraid of such threats.

Advising the BJP, he said that if it wants to do politics, it should do the politics of work. Under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Aam Aadmi Party government has transformed Punjab’s government schools, built world-class Mohalla Clinics and hospitals, provided 600 units of free electricity and taken elderly people on pilgrimage tours. Instead of plotting conspiracies, the BJP should also do such work in the interest of the people. If it had done any work in the states it governs, it would not have needed to hide behind the ED and hatch conspiracies today.
