Siddh Data Seva Society (regd.) Takes Out Grand Procession For Ganpati Visarjan From Ganesh Temple

Siddh Data Seva Society (Regd.) celebrated the sixteenth Ganesh Mahotsav with great enthusiasm at the Ganesh Temple, G.T. Road, where the world’s tallest 126-feet-tall idol of Lord Ganesha is situated. Hundreds of devotees gathered at the temple to participate in the immersion ceremony of Lord Ganesha. The rituals of worship and Havan were performed, followed by the immersion ceremony.

The procession moved ahead amidst a shower of flowers and the beats of bands. The devotees accompanying the procession raised the slogan, “Ganpati Bappa Morya, Agle Baras Tu Jaldi Aa.”

On the eve of the immersion, Ganpati Puja was performed under the guidance of religious teacher Pandit Ajay Vashisht Ji, along with Pandit Vinod Dixit, Pandit Davinder, Pandit Navdeshwar Pandey and Pandit Raman Vashisht Ji.

The evening worship was attended by Dr. Rajesh Rudra Ji, Chairman, Siddh Data Seva Society (Regd.); Mrs. Usha Rudra; Dr. Shabad Rudra; Dr. Vijayata Rudra; Miss Kripa; Mr. Sumesh Pujara; Dr. Jyoti Pujara and her mother, Mrs. Shanti Devi Ji; Mr. Deputy Kapoor and Mrs. Poonam, along with their son Ashish Kapoor and daughter-in-law Megha Kapoor; Mr. Amar Singh Narotra and Mrs. Anita Narotra, along with their son Aryan Narotra; Mrs. Meenu Gulati and her son Vaibhav Gulati and Mr. Rakesh Chauhan and Mrs. Asha Chauhan.

During the evening prayers, the Bhajan Mandali comprising Mr. Sandeep Sambhar, Mr. Gurpal Singh, Mr. Sonu and Mr. Tara Sidhu enhanced the spiritual atmosphere with their melodious devotional singing. Mr. Rohit Bagga and Mrs. Kashish Bagga, Mr. Vijay Danav, Mr. Avinash Sikka, Mr. Kamal Bassi (Main Member, Ramleela Committee, Daresi Ground), Mr. Mohit Jain, Mr. Dinesh Marwaha, Mr. Sandeep Marwaha and Mr. Ved Bhandari were also present on the occasion as distinguished guests.

The Chairman of Siddh Data Seva Society (Regd.), Dr. Rajesh Rudra Ji, said that the glory of God and the Gurus is immeasurable and their teachings always guide us towards the right path in life. Referring to the sacred Shabad of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, “Thakur Tum Sharnaai Aaya,” he said that true welfare in life lies in seeking refuge in God and following the path of truth, duty, service and devotion shown by the sages and Gurus.

After the Havan and Maha Aarti, the idol of Lord Ganesha, accompanied by Riddhi-Siddhi, was immersed by the devotees and members of Siddh Data Seva Society (Regd.) amidst the beats of bands. At several places along the way, devotees stopped to offer laddoos as bhog to the beloved Lord and distributed prasad among the devotees. Langar was also arranged for the devotees.
