AAP Punjab Working President Shery Kalsi and Party Candidate Sanjeev Arora Welcome Bunty
Bunty's Presence in AAP Will Strengthen the Party in The Upcoming By-election
The Congress party faced another major setback in the Ludhiana West Assembly constituency. Congress leader Baljinder Singh Bunty left his old party and joined the Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday. Bunty’s inclusion in the party is expected to provide a significant boost to AAP candidate Sanjeev Arora in the upcoming by-election on June 19.
Baljinder Singh Bunty previously served as a congress councilor for Ludhiana's Ward No. 72. A professional engineer, he has held several positions within the Congress party, including in the Youth Congress.
AAP Punjab Working President Amansher Singh Shery Kalsi, Ludhiana West candidate Sanjeev Arora, AAP Punjab General Secretary Harchand Singh Barsat, Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat, and MP Rajkumar Chabbewal formally welcomed Baljinder Bunty into the AAP family.
On this occasion, Sanjeev Arora praised Bunty and expressed confidence that together, they would transform Ludhiana into a clean and developed city, making its residents proud of their hometown.
Shery Kalsi highlighted the severe internal strife and factionalism within the Congress party, which has been causing its leaders to leave. He assured Baljinder Bunty of due respect and recognition in the AAP and urged him to work diligently and with dedication to ensure Sanjeev Arora's victory.
After joining the party, Baljinder Bunty stated that he was inspired by the policies of the Aam Aadmi Party and the work done by the AAP government in Punjab over the past three years. He said that he is committed to working hard to strengthen the AAP in Ludhiana.
