AAP General Secretary Deepak Bali Criticizes BJP Leader Tarun Chugh's Misleading Remarks on Land Pooling Policy

Land Pooling Policy is Farmer-friendly, Transparent and Voluntary Scheme, Only Land Mafia is Set to Lose: Bali

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab General Secretary Deepak Bali strongly criticized BJP leader Tarun Chugh for his misleading statements about Punjab’s Land Pooling Policy. Bali expressed astonishment at Chugh's baseless allegations that the policy was a conspiracy to deceive farmers and seize their lands.

Bali stated, "It is surprising to hear such remarks from someone who has little to no knowledge about Punjab's socio-economic and political realities. Tarun Chugh should at least remain silent if he lacks the facts. Punjab’s Land Pooling Policy is one of the most farmer-friendly schemes in the country, designed to empower farmers."

Explaining the policy’s benefits, Bali said, "In the past, builders, many of whom were associated with the BJP, used to acquire farmers’ lands at low prices and sell them at exorbitant rates. The AAP government has put an end to this exploitation. Through this transparent and voluntary policy, farmers are given the choice to participate in development projects as stakeholders. This ensures that they receive a share of the profits and significantly higher returns on their lands."

Bali said that the policy aims to uplift both farmers and urban residents. The government takes full responsibility for developing the infrastructure, including roads, electricity, water, and sewage systems. Farmers receive a portion of developed land that is significantly more valuable than their original holdings.

Bali condemned Chugh’s attempts to mislead the public, stating, "Spreading misinformation about such a progressive policy only reveals BJP's agenda of creating confusion and obstructing development in Punjab. They want to create tension between Punjab Government and farmers but they won't succeed. Instead of engaging in baseless criticism, opposition leaders should support initiatives that benefit farmers and strengthen the state’s economy."

He concluded by urging political leaders to prioritize truth and work towards the betterment of Punjab. "Stop misleading people for media coverage. The people of Punjab deserve honesty and clarity, not political gimmicks," Bali said.
