Expresses Gratitude to Centre for Approving ₹93.94 Crore for Development of Maharaja Aj Sarovar

Punjab BJP State President Kewal Singh Dhillon said that the Central Government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has always given priority to the interests of Punjab and Punjabis. The latest example of this is the approval of ₹93.94 crore by the Central Government for the development of Maharaja Aj Sarovar. He expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of the people of Punjab for this initiative.

He said that the Central Government has been continuously undertaking initiatives to promote Punjab’s development, religious faith, historical heritage and tourism. The realisation of the nearly four-decade-old vision of developing Maharaja Aj Sarovar is a significant achievement for Punjab and will give a new direction to the development of the region.

Kewal Singh Dhillon said that the plan to develop Maharaja Aj Sarovar as a world-class tourist destination will provide a major boost to tourism in Punjab. It will further strengthen the region’s identity as a gateway to Punjab and is expected to increase the number of tourists visiting the area.

He said that under the project, a grand model of the Shri Ram Temple is also being developed along the banks of the sarovar. This will promote religious tourism and create new employment opportunities for local residents. He said that the Central Government’s initiative will not only help preserve Punjab’s religious and historical heritage but will also make an important contribution to the state’s economic development.
