➖ Anti-Drug Punjab Yatra to Begin on September 18

Chandigarh, September 16:

Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal will flag off the Punjab BJP’s third Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra from Sadiki in Fazilka on 20th September. The fourth yatra will launch from Takht Sri Damdama Sahib in Talwandi Sabo, with Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on 21st September.

Rajesh Bagha, General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Punjab, and Convener of the Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra, said that four yatras will be taken out from September 18 under the slogan, “BJP’s resolve, eliminate drugs.”

He said the first yatra will begin from Pathankot on September 18, while the second yatra will commence from Fatehgarh Sahib on September 19.

Rajesh Bagha said Arjun Ram Meghwal will pay homage to the martyrs at the Sadiki Shaheed Memorial and, after addressing a public gathering, will flag off the yatra.

He added that Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Nayab Singh Saini will pay obeisance at Takht Sri Damdama Sahib on September 21 before flagging off the fourth yatra.

Rajesh Bagha said the yatras will focus on three major challenges facing Punjab today—the growing drug menace, deteriorating law and order, and corruption allegedly prevalent at every level of governance, from tehsils and police stations to the Chief Minister’s Office.
