*If Allegations Proven False, DGP Can Register a Case Against Me Too: Randhawa*

*Police Providing Security to Gangsters' Families Instead of Victims*

After Meeting the Governor, Randhawa Demands: Register a Case Against Finance Minister Cheema and Accept His Resignation

Former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab, former Jails Minister, and MP from Gurdaspur, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, has leveled serious allegations of collusion with gangsters against police officers of the Border Range and demanded an impartial probe. He stated in strong words that these police officers notably include DSPs transferred from Dera Baba Nanak and Batala.

The mobile phones and call details of all these police officers must be investigated.
This is necessary to reveal which numbers were making calls to them and who they were in contact with. The mobile call details and contacts of all these police officers should be thoroughly investigated, and if the allegations are found true, a criminal case should be registered against them immediately. Randhawa made these serious allegations while speaking to the media in Chandigarh after meeting Governor Gulab Chand Kataria.

Randhawa stated that he is making this statement with full responsibility, and if the allegations he made are proven false, the DGP of Punjab can register a case against him as well. He added that he is raising this issue not for political rhetoric, but to save Punjab’s law and order. He has been raising serious concerns about gangsters for a long time, but the Punjab government itself is patronizing these gangsters. No action is being taken against them.

He also took aim at Punjab’s temporary DGP, Gaurav Yadav. He said that the DGP is providing police security to the families of gangsters, whereas people in Punjab receiving extortion calls from gangsters are given no security. Nor are they being issued arms licenses; instead, the Punjab Police is concerned about the safety of the families of gangsters who issue threats and demand ransoms. He stated that Punjab needs a permanent DGP so that law and order in the state can be reined in effectively.

The former Home Minister said that the network of gangsters in Punjab is growing continuously stronger, and the fear of the law seems to have vanished. He alleged that during the Gurdaspur Municipal Council elections, gangsters openly threatened voters over the phone, but the administration failed to take effective action.
Meanwhile, regarding the Sangrur suicide case, Randhawa launched a sharp attack on the AAP government and Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema. He claimed that prior to his death, Gulzar Singh named the village sarpanch and Finance Minister Harpal Cheema. A dying person does not lie. Therefore, a case must be registered immediately against the sarpanch and Finance Minister Cheema, they should be arrested, and Cheema should be removed from his post.
