Bajwa Didn’t Cooperate With Punjab Police Today; He Will Be Responsible For Any Future Grenade Attacks In Punjab: Aman Arora

Arora Highlights 11-Year-Old Letter from Former CM Capt Amarinder Singh to Sonia Gandhi About Bajwa's Links to Smugglers and Terrorists

In a press conference held at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) headquarters in Chandigarh, Punjab President Aman Arora strongly criticized Leader of the Opposition Pratap Singh Bajwa for his recent claims regarding the entry of 50 grenades into Punjab. Arora raised serious concerns over Bajwa’s statements, questioning their credibility and the source of the information.

“If Bajwa knows that 32 grenades are hidden in Punjab, he must also know where they are concealed and who their intended targets are. As the Leader of the Opposition, it is his responsibility to share this critical information with the Punjab government and Punjab Police to ensure the safety and security of the state and the nation,” said Arora.

He further added that neither the Punjab Chief Minister nor the police are in possession of such information. “If Pratap Bajwa has this intelligence, it raises serious doubts about his links with terrorists and Pakistan's ISI—entities responsible for previous grenade blasts. Bajwa’s failure to cooperate with senior Punjab Police officials who approached him to verify his claims is highly suspicious.”

Arora warned that if any bomb-related incident occurs in Punjab, Bajwa will be held directly responsible. “If you are aware of the existence of 32 grenades, you must also know their location and intended targets. Either share this information with the police or stop making such irresponsible statements in a desperate attempt to revive your dwindling political relevance.”

He also called on Bajwa to apologize to the people of Punjab for spreading fear with baseless remarks. “Creating an atmosphere of fear in Punjab through such statements is utterly unacceptable. Bajwa owes an apology to the entire state.”

Arora reminded the public of Bajwa’s previous controversial statement where he called for disbanding the Punjab Police, branding it as corrupt. “This is the same Punjab Police that eradicated terrorism and cracked down on violent attacks swiftly. Recently, when an attack took place at Manoranjan Kalia's residence, the Punjab Police apprehended all culprits within 12 hours.”

In a reminder, Arora highlighted an 11-year-old letter by former Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh to Sonia Gandhi, in which Singh alleged Bajwa’s links with terrorists and drug smugglers. “This is not the first time such allegations have surfaced against Pratap Bajwa. It is high time he comes clean about his claims and connections.”
