punjab Is Becoming A Drug-free State! Rays Of Hope In Doctors And Ngos, Credit Also Goes To Mp Sanjeev Arora

"The war against drugs will definitely reach its conclusion and Punjab will definitely be drug-free."

Ludhiana, May 22 The campaign launched by the Punjab Government for the prevention of drug abuse in the state has started showing positive results. At the same time, now specialist doctors are also supporting it. This is sending a clear message that whether the war against drugs being waged by the Bhagwant Mann government or the awareness campaign being run under the Nasha Mukti Yatra, everyone is standing with the government step by step. Talking about Ludhiana, besides all the MLAs of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora is also working in the drug de-addiction campaign. The most important thing is that realizing the honest steps of the government, now apart from the common people, the doctors and the NGO's  working in it are also working.

Dr. Inderjit Singh, who has been working on drug prevention for the last 35 years, says that Bhagwant Sarkar is the first government that has not only waged a war against drugs but is also including every section of society in it. The maximum impact of this is being seen in Ludhiana. Being an industrial city, all eyes are on Ludhiana. Rajya Sabha member Sanjeev Arora was also working hard and dedicated himself most to health issues. Although the AAP has also made him the party candidate for the ludhiana West by-election, as an MP, he has already been working against drugs. It is expected that the youth of Punjab will be saved from drugs. His role in the OST and drug de-addiction center of the civil hospital cannot be denied. Additionally, the NGOs working in the hotspot area have received a lot of support. MP Arora's steps for the rehabilitation of the affected youth are also noteworthy.

NGO member Gagan Bhatia, who has been working on the Early Prevention Project for 10 years, said that our NGO is making the youth from 12 years to 18 years aware of the ill-effects of drugs. Work is also being done especially in the red category zones so that children can be saved from this stigma from the beginning. He said that for the first time it has been seen that the Punjab government is running the war against drugs with full seriousness. In the past, governments have focused only on existing drug victims, but currently work is also being done on early prevention. For which our NGO is grateful to MP Sanjeev Arora with whose cooperation all this work is being done. Now it seems that the war against drugs will definitely reach its end and Punjab will definitely be drug-free.

Manisha, a member of the NGO working on the outreach project ODIC, says, "Our job is to provide syringes to registered youth taking drugs under the project received from the Centre. So that the youth do not use the same syringe for injection and he and any of his family members do not come in contact with an incurable disease like HIV/AIDS. MP Sanjeev Arora's contribution towards drug de-addiction is noteworthy and he is giving a lot of support to NGOs in this regard. We thank them for that. It is an appeal to the government that some steps should also be taken for the female members trapped in the quagmire of drugs so that they can also be taken out of this stigma."
