Ludhiana MP delivers on promise; raises voice for justice for Sidhu Moosewala at Parliament

Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, the Member of Parliament for Ludhiana and the President of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, took the floor in the Lok Sabha to raise significant concerns regarding Punjab and national security. Staying true to his promise, MP Warring highlighted several pressing issues during his speech, emphasizing the need for immediate action and justice.

MP Warring drew attention to the tragic murder of Sidhu Moosewala, a popular singer and youth icon, who was brutally shot dead in broad daylight. He underscored the alarming fact that Lawrence Bishnoi, a gangster operating from within jail, openly took credit for the crime. Despite two years passing since the incident, no action has been taken, and justice remains elusive for Moosewala and his grieving family. Warring questioned the state of national security, where such gangsters can freely give interviews from prison and boast about their heinous acts. He expressed profound sadness over the loss of Moosewala, who was a voice of Punjab and represented the state and the nation globally.

The MP of Ludhiana also brought to light the struggles faced by farmers under the BJP government. He criticized the administration for the atrocities committed against Punjab and Haryana's farmers, who had to fight for their rights at the borders of Delhi. Warring highlighted the failure to provide a legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price (MSP), a promise made by PM Modi, leading to continued protests. He condemned the police brutality meted out to peaceful protestors and mourned the deaths of farmers during these protests.

Raising concerns over the Agniveer policy, Warring claimed that it seemed the central government was acting against Punjab, a state renowned for providing the largest number of soldiers and being the breadbasket of the nation. He argued that this vendetta over the past decade has led to severe economic deterioration and negatively impacted various sectors in the state.

Warring also addressed the mismanagement and unplanned laws by the central government, which have resulted in the decline of the MSME sector in Punjab. Despite the government's promotion of 'Make in India,' industrial units and hubs like Ludhiana have struggled under the BJP's policies, leading to essential industries moving away from the city.

In his concluding remarks, MP Warring accused the BJP of working towards dividing the nation and its people over the past ten years. However, he assured the government and leaders present that Punjab would never succumb to such divisive politics. He urged the BJP government to move away from religion-based politics and focus on the actual betterment of the nation and its people.
