Senior BJP leader and former union minister Vijay Sampla, during a press conference held in Ludhiana on Tuesday, addressed the media regarding Rahul Gandhi’s recent speech as the Leader of the Opposition.

Flanked by District President Rajnish Dhiman, Sampla criticized Gandhi for delivering a speech filled with falsehoods, disappointment, and baseless claims, stating that his behavior did not align with the decorum expected in Parliament.

"Rahul Gandhi, who has failed three consecutive times despite repeated efforts, insulted Hindus by labeling them as violent, hateful, and dishonest.

After winning 99 seats, they are branding Hindus as violent, hateful, and liars, revealing their true intentions.

The facts are clear: who was responsible for the 1984 Sikh massacre, who oppressed the people during the Emergency, and who shot at saints?" said Sampla.

He further asserted that Gandhi’s remarks were not only offensive but also deserving of utmost condemnation.

Sampla emphasized that this behavior is a long-standing habit of the Congress party, which has made similar statements multiple times before. "The Congress and its supporters will now try to justify Rahul Gandhi's statements with various excuses.

In 2010, then Home Minister P. Chidambaram labeled Hindus as terrorists and in 2013, former Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde did the same”, Sampla said.

Sampla also criticized Gandhi’s selective silence on incidents in West Bengal, the intentions of Hizb-ut-Tahir in Tamil Nadu, and his colleague's incitement of violence in Kerala. "Yet, he repeatedly defames Hindus," Sampla remarked, adding that Rahul Gandhi not only insulted Hindus but he also made false statements about Agniveer, farmers, Ayodhya, and even the microphone issue.

The BJP leader called for condemnation of Gandhi’s remarks and urged the Congress party to take responsibility for their leader’s offensive comments.

“Rahul Gandhi's recent statements are not only an affront to Hindus but also a broader insult to the integrity of India as a whole. Such sweeping and baseless allegations have no place in a responsible and respectful discourse.

Therefore, Rahul Gandhi should either substantiate his claims with evidence or offer a sincere apology to the country in Parliament”, Sampla said.

District General Secretary Narinder Mallhi, District Secretary Naval Jain, District Vice President Yashpal and Mahesh Sharma were also present.
