Forest Department Envisages Establishment Of 45 Pavittar Van & 650 Nanak Bagichis

With a view to increase the green cover in the State, and ensure a clean and green Punjab, the Forest and Wildlife Preservation Department has chalked out elaborate measures.

The Plantation targets for the upcoming monsoon season have been finalized under various schemes, including 4117.49 hectares plantation under CAMPA Scheme, 584 hectares plantation target, establishment of 45 Pavittar Vans, and 650 Nanak Baghichis under the Green Punjab Mission Scheme.

Likewise, the plans of the Department also envisage the raising of seedlings and saplings in departmental nurseries, Maintenance, watering, weeding, and grading of nursery stock and Preparation of polybags and root trainers.
