Rayat Bahra Professional University Holds Lecture On Modern Medical Treatments For Nursing Students

HOSHIARPUR: Rayat Bahra Professional University organized a special guest lecture on advanced medical therapies at its campus Moot Court for B.Sc. Nursing students. The session aimed to introduce second and fourth-semester students to the latest developments in modern healthcare and clinical treatments.
The keynote speaker for the event was Dr. Mayank Kapoor (MD – Internal Medicine, DM – Medical Oncology, AIIMS; University Topper), Consultant Medical Oncologist at Livasa Hospital, Hoshiarpur. Addressing the students, Dr. Kapoor explained how modern treatments like stem cell and gene therapies work to treat serious diseases. He shared insights on how rapidly advancing medical science is opening new possibilities for patient care and highlighted the important role future nurses play in managing these cutting-edge healthcare methods.
Sharing his views on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Chander Mohan said that the university is committed to providing students with high-quality academic exposure alongside regular studies. He emphasized that learning about emerging medical technologies prepares nursing graduates to meet global healthcare standards and serve patients with updated clinical knowledge.
The lecture was followed by an interactive question-and-answer session, where students engaged with the specialist to clear their doubts. The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks to Dr. Kapoor for sharing his valuable knowledge with the students.
