On World Environment Day, NCC cadets across the globe join hands to advocate for
environmental conservation and sustainable living practices. Their involvement ranges
from tree planting drives to awareness campaigns, highlighting the importance of
preserving our planet for future generations.
The NCC Cadets of 3 Punjab Girls Bn celebrated World Environment Day with a
ceremonial tree plantation event at GHG Khalsa College, SDP College and MTSM college
LDH symbolizing the commitment of NCC cadets towards greener initiatives. Theme for
the day was ‘Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience’ .Cadets, adorned
in their uniforms, gathered at their respective locations, from college campuses to
community parks, to plant saplings and trees.
Beyond tree planting, NCC cadets engaged in a plethora of activities aimed at raising
awareness about environmental issues with slogan ‘Our Land, Our Future’. This included
rallies, seminars, and workshops on topics such as pollution control, waste management,
and biodiversity conservation.Additionally, NCC units often collaborate with local
environmental organizations, governmental agencies, and educational institutions to
maximize their impact. Together, they leverage their resources and expertise to implement
sustainable solutions and promote eco-friendly practices in their communities.
Through their proactive participation, NCC cadets not only contribute to the global effort to
combat climate change but also instill a sense of environmental responsibility among
