The 152nd District Consultative Committee (DCC) / District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Poonam Singh.

ADC (G) congratulated the Lead District Manager, S. Gurdeep Singh Kang, and all banks in the district for securing the No. 1 rank in India under Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) sanctions. She also highlighted that the district had achieved 99.73% of its Priority Sector targets and 95.66% of its Annual Credit Plan (ACP) target for 2025–26 as on December 31, 2025. Sector-wise performance indicated 89.30% achievement under Agriculture and 102.44% under MSME. The Credit-Deposit (CD) ratio of the district stood at an impressive 90%, significantly above the national benchmark of 60%.

During the meeting, a detailed review of the district’s banking performance was undertaken. While acknowledging the progress, ADC (G) expressed concern over lower credit flow to weaker sections and urged all banks to further strengthen the implementation of social security schemes and to enhance credit flow to weaker sections of society. She urged banks to eliminate pendency, fix timelines, and enhance lending to underprivileged beneficiaries.

Presiding over the quarterly meeting of the District Consultative Committee (DCC) and District Level Review Committee (DLRC) of banks at Bachat Bhawan, the ADC directed banks to extend utmost support to priority sectors, including education, weaker sections, agriculture, MSMEs, and others. She emphasised ensuring zero pendency of applications under various financial schemes and accorded top priority to these sectors to achieve government targets.

Emphasizing the importance of financial inclusion and financial literacy, she directed banks to hold Financial Inclusion camps at village and Block Level to ensure wider outreach.

The meeting was attended by RBI AGM H. L. Bhatia, DDM NABARD, ACP Rajesh Sharma, Director RSETI, representatives from line departments and DCO’s from various banks.
