Phagwara: (Shiv Kaura) Aam Aadmi Party’s Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha and MP from Hoshiarpur parliamentary constituency Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal was given a very warm and enthusiastic welcome by ‘AAP’ volunteers and supporters on being made the in-charge of the Aam Aadmi Party assembly constituency Phagwara. During this welcome ceremony organized under the leadership of Aam Aadmi Party District President Sarabjit Singh Lubana at the local KG Resort, on the arrival of the newly appointed in-charge MP Dr. Raj of Phagwara assembly constituency, ‘AAP’ leaders, volunteers and supporters expressed their happiness by welcoming him with drums and garlands. A large number of AAP leaders, volunteers and supporters attended this event. Before addressing the event, MP Dr. Raj bowed down to the land of Phagwara, describing it as the land of Gurus and Pirs. After this, he bowed his head and thanked the party leaders, volunteers and supporters who had arrived at the reception in such a large number. MP Dr. Raj said that his first goal is to ensure the all-round development of urban and rural areas as per the demand of the people of Phagwara. He said that development works are going on in Phagwara at a cost of crores of rupees and more works will be started soon. His aim is to make Phagwara number one among other assembly constituencies of the state in terms of development. He said that no stone will be left unturned in the development of Phagwara. The work of the common people will be done on priority basis in government offices. The work of women and the elderly will be given priority. All the problems of the traders and industrialists of Phagwara will be resolved and plans will be worked on to increase trade and industry. He said that special efforts will be made to provide employment to the youth. Emphasis will be laid on providing high quality roads, a city illuminated with street lights, a good sewage system, clean drinking water, better health facilities and high quality education to the people of Phagwara. A large number of AAP leaders and volunteers were present on the occasion.
