Sanjeev Arora Inaugurates Road Upgradation Works in BRS Nagar, Prem Nagar & Nearby Areas; Reiterates Focus on Quality and Timely Completion

Ludhiana, May 3:

Moving forward with the goal to develop quality road infrastructure across the state, Cabinet Minister for Local Government, Industries & Commerce, Investment Promotion and Power Sanjeev Arora launched Rs 2.53 crore projects to upgrade road infrastructure in BRS Nagar, Prem Nagar, Haqiqat Nagar and New Patel Nagar on Sunday.

Under these projects, roads/streets would be constructed in Block-C of BRS Nagar at a cost of around Rs 90.55 lakh. While, Rs 1.62 crore would be spent on reconstructing roads and installing interlocking tiles in Prem Nagar, Haqiqat Nagar and New Patel Nagar.

Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora stated that working with a broader vision, they are working to develop quality road infrastructure across the state. Around 2120 kms of urban roads are being constructed across the state at a massive cost of around Rs 1300 crore. These projects are would be completed by the end of May.

Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora stated that he has been regularly monitoring the projects. The authorities have been strictly directed to ensure completion of projects within stipulated time period. Further they have also been directed that no laxity would be tolerated in context to the quality of works.

Highlighting the vision of National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Hon’ble Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to ensure sustainable development across the state, Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora stated that the state government is working on every aspect to facilitate the residents at large. People-centric projects are being taken up across the state.

Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur, MC Commissioner Dr Neeru Katyal Gupta, Joint Commissioner Vineet Kumar, Councillor Amrit Varsha Rampal, BK Rampal, Mani Sai, Councillor Gurpreet Singh Babbal, Councillor Satnam Singh Sunny Master, Councillor Kapil Sonu, Councillor Maninder Ghuman, Chairman District Planning Board Jatinder Singh Khangura, Davinder Ghuman, Gurpreet Bedi among others were also present during the inauguration ceremonies.
