Not Luck, But the Movement of Planets Determines the Direction of Life: Astrologer Tanu Bhardwaj

“From Karma, Destiny, Career and Politics to Personal Life — An Exclusive Conversation with Tanu Bhardwaj on Various Aspects of Astrology”
Ludhiana:
Human life is often described as a journey shaped by karma. A person creates the direction of their life and destiny through their actions, both big and small. However, there are times when circumstances and obstacles arise in life, leaving a person troubled. In such situations, astrology, planetary movements and horoscopes are often considered ways to understand these circumstances and seek possible solutions.
What exactly is astrology? Do the positions of planets actually influence our lives? If a person repeatedly faces obstacles in life, can astrology offer any possible solutions? And how does a person develop an interest in astrology?
To explore these questions, we spoke to well-known astrologer Tanu Bhardwaj in an exclusive conversation. We discussed various aspects of astrology, karma, destiny, planetary movements, problems in life and her personal journey into the field of astrology.
Question: Astrology is generally associated with destiny. Many people say that their luck is not working in their favour and therefore they should seek the help of astrology. What would you like to say about this?
Answer: According to me, every person's horoscope has its own planetary positions and influences. We examine the position of the planets, where they are placed and which areas of a person's life they are believed to influence.
For example, if someone's business is not doing well, the position of the Sun in the horoscope may be examined. The Sun is also associated with business and employment. Similarly, the positions of the Moon, Sun or Jupiter in a child's horoscope are sometimes considered to have an influence on the life and career of the parents.
Likewise, if Mercury is well placed, it is believed that a person's business understanding and communication abilities can be stronger. Therefore, for me, the key is to understand the position and movement of the planets.
Question: Astrology has been around for a very long time. How did you personally develop an interest in astrology?
Answer: I started learning astrology in 2001. I was around 16 years old at that time. I had accompanied my father to an astrologer to have my sister's horoscope matched.
There, I saw the astrologer calculating the positions of the nine planets using his fingers. The prediction he made about my sister later turned out to be accurate. This left a strong impression on me and made me curious to learn about the subject.
I asked him how he had figured everything out. He explained that astrology involves understanding the movement and calculations related to the planets. Just as an hour has 60 minutes and a minute has 60 seconds, the movement and positions of planets also have to be understood in detail.
At that time, I had completed Class 12 and was on vacation. I told him that I was also interested in learning astrology. He said he would first assess my ability and, if he felt I could learn the subject, he would teach me. That is how my journey with astrology began.
Question: Normally, after Class 12, young people choose professions such as medicine, engineering or other fields. Why did you choose astrology?
Answer: I continued my formal education alongside astrology. I have completed an M.A. in English, B.Ed., M.Ed. and M.Phil. I have also cleared TET. I had an opportunity to take up a government job, but at that time my business was growing very well, so I decided not to join government service.
Question: Some people believe that depending too much on astrology can actually make a person's life worse. What would you say about this?
Answer: I have experienced astrology practically in my own life. That is why I continued to pursue this field. If I did not find anything practical in it, I would not have made it my profession.
I have had a particular interest in understanding married life and aspects of a person's character through their horoscope. I have been doing this work for many years and feel that many things in astrology correspond with real-life situations.
However, I do not claim that every prediction I make is 100 percent accurate. After all, even a person who is learning can make mistakes. Based on my experience, around 60 to 70 percent of my predictions turn out to be accurate.
Question: People often ask that if astrologers know so much, why can't they identify and solve every problem in their own lives in advance?
Answer: It cannot be viewed that way. For instance, doctors themselves may sometimes go through situations that they cannot completely control. Similarly, there can be certain events that a person cannot fully control on their own.
In astrology, believing that we can change or correct every planet according to our wishes is also a misconception. The positions of the planets can be understood and advice can be given accordingly, but it is not possible to bring everything under our control.
Question: Should people routinely get their horoscope checked?
Answer: No, there is no need to have it checked repeatedly as part of a routine. If there is no particular problem, it can be reviewed after a gap of three to four months or even six months. It is considered useful to have the horoscope checked around one's birthday, as the annual forecast changes and planetary movements vary from year to year.
If a person is experiencing a particular problem or facing continuous health or other difficulties, the horoscope can be consulted specifically at that time. We also examine planetary positions on a daily basis, but generally, checking it every three to six months is sufficient.
Question: If we talk a little about politics, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's planetary positions are said to be quite strong. With upcoming elections in Punjab, have you observed any planetary positions that could indicate which way the political winds may be moving?
Answer: My personal view is that planets do not belong to any political party; they belong to individuals. Therefore, it is more important to see how the planets of the individuals contesting the election are positioned.
Simply saying that the political atmosphere is in favour of one particular party or predicting who will win can become somewhat speculative. In reality, it is more important to examine the horoscope and planetary positions of the individuals involved in the contest.
For example, if we talk about the BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's planetary positions have their own influence. Similarly, the planetary positions of other prominent leaders would also have to be examined. Every person contesting has planetary influences of their own.
In astrology, a strong Sun is considered very important for political success and victory. The Sun is associated with brilliance and authority. A person whose planets are strong and whose Sun is well placed is believed to have greater political influence and visibility. Conversely, the planetary positions of an opposing individual may be weaker.
Question: How do you maintain a balance between your work and personal life? Is astrology a hobby for you or has it now become a profession?
Answer: Family support is extremely important. My husband is very supportive. I manage my business as well as my astrology-related work, which I mostly do through appointments.
I give time according to my availability because I also have to spend time with my children. At present, I do not have fixed working hours. I inform local clients about my availability, while most of my international clients contact me by phone in the evening.
Question: If someone wants to make an appointment with you, how can they contact you?
Answer: I can be contacted at 828883900 by phone. The same number can be used for appointments. I can also be contacted on Instagram through tanuastrovision.
