Guru Purnima Celebrated With Devotion And Enthusiasm At Green Land Convent School, Civil City

Green Land Convent School, Civil City celebrated Maharishi Ved Vyasa Jayanti
and Guru Purnima with great devotion, reverence and enthusiasm. A special
morning assembly was organised on the occasion, where teachers and students
paid heartfelt tribute to Maharishi Ved Vyasa and expressed their gratitude to
their gurus. The programme aimed to acquaint students with Indian culture, the
rich Guru-Shishya (teacher-disciple) tradition, and the remarkable contributions
of Maharishi Ved Vyasa. The celebration commenced with a soulful rendition of
Shabad Gayan by the teachers and students. This was followed by inspiring
speeches and presentations highlighting the greatness of teachers and the life
and achievements of Maharishi Ved Vyasa. The students were informed that
Maharishi Ved Vyasa compiled the Vedas, authored the Mahabharata, and
composed several Puranas, thereby enriching India's timeless knowledge
tradition. Guru Purnima is observed in his honour as a mark of respect for his
invaluable contribution to humanity.
Dr. Rajesh Rudhra, the Chairman of Green Land Schools said that Maharishi
Ved Vyasa is an eternal symbol of Indian culture and wisdom. He remarked that
teachers play a pivotal role in shaping the personality of students by guiding
them on the right path. He urged all the students to respect their teachers and
imbibe their ideals in everyday life.
Extending her greetings on Maharishi Ved Vyasa Jayanti and Guru Purnima, the
Director of Chain of Green Land Schools *Dr. Vijayata Rudhra, stated that
teachers are the true guides in life. She encouraged students to make knowledge,
discipline, humility and moral values the foundation of their lives and to always
uphold respect and gratitude towards their teachers.
The Principal of the School, Ms. Ritu Malhotra said that Guru Purnima provides
a wonderful opportunity to express reverence, respect and gratitude towards our
teachers. She motivated the students to follow the ideals of Maharishi Ved
Vyasa and the guidance of their teachers, walk on the path of knowledge, moral
values and righteousness, and bring pride to their families, the school and the
nation.
The programme concluded with all the students and teachers reaffirming their
commitment to uphold the values of respect, gratitude and dedication towards
their gurus.
