S.A.S. Nagar, January 19: To listen to the problems being faced by the general
public pertaining to disposal of various services provided by the Estate Office and
other wings of GMADA, a one day grievance redressal camp was held here today
at PUDA Bhawan, Sector 62, SAS Nagar.
Giving details, Mr. Rajiv Kumar Gupta, Chief Administrator, stated that the camp
was organized in compliance of the directions issued by S. Bhagwant Singh Mann,
Hon’ble Chief Minister who is also the Minister In-Charge, Department of Housing
& Urban Development, Government of Punjab and under guidance of Mr. Anurag
Verma, IAS, Chief Secretary, Punjab who also holds the charge of Administrative
Secretary, Department of Housing & Urban Development. The purpose of holding
the camp was to resolve the issues being faced by the general public while
availing different services offered by the Estate Office and other branches on
priority, he said.
Total 326 applications including those to the nature of issuance of NoC, change of
ownership, approval of building plans, and issuance of LoIs etc. were disposed off
during the camp. The Land Acquisition branch issued 40 cheques to the land
owners whose land has been acquired for different projects to be developed. S.
Kulwant Singh, M.L.A., SAS Nagar handed over the letters to the beneficiaries. He
also gave a cheque amounting to Rs. 7.65 crores from the side of GMADA to the
Municipal Corporation, Mohali for executing different development works in the
city.
Mr. Balvinder Singh, ACA (F&A), PUDA/GMADA; Ms. Damandeep Kaur, ACA
(HQ/Policy); Mr. Harbans Singh, Estate Officer (Plots); Mr. Khushdil Singh Sandhu,
Estate Officer (Housing); Ms. Jasleen Kaur Sandhu, Land Acquisition Collector; Mr.
Balwinder Singh, Chief Engineer and officials from Estate Office, Land Acquisition
Office, engineering wing and other branches remained present in the camp.
