Vet Varsity Emerges As India’s Second Best State Veterinary University In Iirf Rankings

Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, has achieved a significant milestone by securing second rank among State Veterinary Universities in India for the second consecutive year in the latest Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) Rankings 2026. The University has also been placed fifth nationally among all the institutions in the veterinary and fisheries domain, reaffirming its position as one of India's leading institutions in veterinary and animal sciences education, research and extension. The achievement underscores Vet Varsity’s growing stature as a centre of excellence in veterinary education, advancing animal health, livestock production, dairy, fisheries and allied sciences. The University has consistently contributed towards strengthening the livestock sector through quality teaching, cutting-edge research, technology dissemination and farmer-centric extension programmes.

Expressing delight over the achievement, Dr. J.P.S.
