The fifth day of the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-38) being conducted by 8 Punjab Battalion NCC at Lovely Professional University (LPU),Phagwara, witnessed a vibrant blend of military training, adventure activities and sporting events aimed at the holistic development of NCC cadets.The day commenced with an Athletics Competition, where cadets displayed remarkable endurance, determination and sportsmanship. This was followed by Drill,Weapon Training and Map Reading sessions, enhancing the cadets’ military proficiency, discipline and navigation skills.An informative lecture on Cyber Security was conducted to create awareness about emerging digital threats and safe online practices. Cadets also participated in Tent Pitching, strengthening their fieldcraft skills and teamwork under simulated field conditions Simultaneously, the Jalandhar Group Thal Sainik Camp (TSC) Team continued its specialized training, while participants of the Drone Training Programme gained further hands-on experience in the operation and application of modern drone technology.The day's sporting activities culminated with an exciting Basketball Competition, which fostered teamwork, leadership and a healthy competitive spirit among the cadets.The day concluded with the customary Roll Call, marking another successful day of learning,training and character building.The camp continues to nurture discipline leadership resilience and technical competence, preparing cadets to become responsible citizens and future leaders of the nation.
