*Farmers will face no inconvenience while selling their crops: Deputy Speaker Jai Krishan Singh Rouri*

The Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha and MLA from Garhshankar constituency, S. Jai Krishan Singh Rouri, today visited various grain markets in the constituency and conducted a detailed review of the facilities and procurement arrangements. During the visit, he assessed the ground situation at Mehingrowal, Mahilpur and Moranwali. He also interacted with farmers present in the mandis to understand the issues they were facing.

Taking serious note of the concerns raised by the farmers, he directed the concerned officials to ensure immediate resolution. He stated that farmers will not face any inconvenience while selling their crops as proper arrangements in the mandis have been ensured.

The Deputy Speaker instructed officials to make sure that the processes of weighing, lifting, and payment of crops are carried out transparently and completed on time. He also emphasized ensuring cleanliness, drinking water, electricity, and other basic amenities in the mandis.

Deputy Speaker Rouri said that the Punjab Government is fully committed to the welfare of farmers and will not tolerate any negligence in the mandis. He added that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure timely procurement and payment so that farmers do not face any problems.

Officials from various departments, mandi board staff, and local leaders were also present on the occasion.
