On the occasion of the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of 'Hind Di Chadar' Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, comprehensive arrangements will be made for the convenience of devotees and pilgrims visiting Sri Anandpur Sahib. For this purpose, all-round development will be undertaken in the Guru's holy city, Sri Anandpur Sahib, and Kiratpur Sahib.

These views were expressed today by Mr. Harjot Singh Bains, Punjab's Cabinet Minister for Education and Information & Public Relations, during a high powered meeting with district officials held at the Deputy Commissioner's office in Rupnagar regarding the martyrdom anniversary events.

He stated that the martyrdom events will be organized in the month of November and the Punjab Government will celebrate these events on a grand scale. It is expected that lakhs of devotees from across India and abroad will attend these sacred events.

He added that it is a matter of great pride to have the opportunity to serve during the 350th martyrdom anniversary events of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Therefore, all department officials must fulfill their duties with a spirit of service, and preparations should align with the overall plan for the events.

He also said that keeping in view the arrival of lakhs of devotees on this occasion, the Punjab Government will arrange for a "Tent City," where all basic facilities will be provided along with quality basis transportation services.

He further announced that during the martyrdom events, a light and sound show will be organized at 'Virast-e-Khalsa' to educate the younger generation about religion and history. These shows will be executed using world-class drone technology.

Before the 350th martyrdom anniversary of the Ninth Guru, Sri Anandpur Sahib will be completely transformed into a “White City,” and going forward, a policy will be implemented mandating that all new buildings in the area be painted white.

Mr. Bains also announced that the memorial dedicated to Bhai Jaita Ji will be completed by September 5 and will be inaugurated and dedicated to the Sangat on his birth anniversary.

Cabinet Minister said that the operational hours of the Nature Park at Sri Anandpur Sahib will be extended from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and the library at Virasat-e-Khalsa will remain open until 7:30 PM.

He said that on this occasion, a Turban Museum will also be established in Sri Anandpur Sahib.

He further said that, in view of this sacred occasion, a special plantation drive will be launched to rapidly increase greenery in and around Sri Anandpur Sahib and Kiratpur Sahib, with a goal to plant 350,000 saplings.

The Cabinet Minister also announced that the VIP road leading to Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib will be named "after Sahibzada Jujhar Singh Marg" and beautified accordingly.

He added that due to the increasing number of devotees visiting Sri Anandpur Sahib daily, a multi-level vehicle parking facility will be constructed in the city.

For the convenience of devotees, ultra-modern permanent wash rooms will be built in Sri Anandpur Sahib and Kiratpur Sahib, he added.
