People with a positive vision for Punjab are always welcome in AAP: Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann

Shiromani Akali Dal was dealt a major political setback in Jalandhar when prominent leader and Taksali Akali family, Rantej Singh Powar, joined the Aam Aadmi Party along with his supporters. He is the great-grandson of Giani Shankar Singh Ji and the grandson of Sardar Bir Singh Ji. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann formally welcomed Rantej Singh Powar into the party and inducted him into AAP by presenting him with a Siropa.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the Aam Aadmi Party is committed to the development of Punjab, corruption-free governance and serving the people. He said that impressed by the people-centric policies and honest politics of the AAP government, prominent personalities and honest leaders from different fields are continuously joining the party. He said that with the joining of a thoughtful leader like Rantej Singh Powar, who comes from a traditional family background, the party organisation in Jalandhar and surrounding areas will receive further strength. He said that together, they will continue the work to make Punjab a ‘Rangla Punjab’ once again.
After joining the party, Rantej Singh Powar thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and said that he was highly impressed by the people-oriented policies of the Punjab government and the development works being carried out under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann. He assured that he would work with full dedication and honesty for strengthening the party and serving the people.
