CHANDIGARH; 21st September 2026:

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday took its ‘Mann de Munaffe’ campaign directly to people’s doorsteps, with ministers highlighting the financial relief delivered through free electricity, healthcare, education and other welfare schemes under the Bhagwant Singh Mann Government. The campaign focused on the government’s 4.5 year report card, its work on Punjab’s waters and the direct benefits reaching households, with people sharing their experiences of reduced expenses and improved access to public services.

Cabinet Minister Aman Arora led the campaign in Sunam, while Lal Chand Kataruchak campaigned in Bhatoya, Pathankot; Dr Balbir Singh in Patiala; and Barinder Kumar Goyal in his constituency. Harjot Singh Bains, Harpal Singh Cheema, Ravjot Singh, Mohinder Bhagat, Tarunpreet Singh Sond, Hardeep Singh Mundian and Harbhajan Singh ETO also took the campaign to their respective constituencies.

While conducting door-to-door campaigning in the Sunam constituency, AAP Punjab President and Cabinet Minister Aman Arora stated, “The party has released a special pamphlet to inform people about the development works carried out by the government during the past 4.5 years, our efforts to save Punjab’s waters, and the direct financial benefits being received by every household.”

Launching a sharp attack on previous governments, the AAP Punjab President asserted, “The Akali-BJP and Congress governments worked to loot and beat Punjab during their years in power. In a democracy, the real owners are the people. Therefore, the AAP Government is placing an account of its work before the people and comparing it with the work of previous governments, so that people can understand the gains and losses and take the right decision while voting.”

Aman Arora added, “The opposition parties are making misleading statements to divert people’s attention. To make people aware of this, the party will soon also launch a membership drive.”

Sharing calculations based on the figures given in the pamphlet, he stated, “The policies of the Bhagwant Singh Mann Government are providing every family a direct benefit of up to an average of ₹1.82 lakh. The 300 units of free electricity are saving every household approximately ₹18,000 annually, while free bus travel for women is resulting in annual savings of ₹24,000 for families.”

He further explained, “In addition, the ₹1,000 or ₹1,500 monthly financial assistance being provided to mothers and sisters, along with healthcare facilities such as Aam Aadmi Clinics, is saving thousands and lakhs of rupees a year. Today, every citizen of Punjab is feeling that the formation of an Aam Aadmi Party Government has brought major financial relief to them.”

Meanwhile, Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak conducted door-to-door campaigning in Bhatoya, Pathankot. During the campaign, he informed voters, “If parties like the Congress, Shiromani Akali Dal or BJP come to power, they will end the benefit of waived electricity bills for common people and the drug problem will once again increase in the state.”

Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak also distributed pamphlets among people highlighting the benefits received by families from the government.

Cabinet Minister Dr Balbir Singh met people door-to-door in Patiala and discussed the facilities being provided by the Bhagwant Singh Mann Government. He also informed people about the economic benefits of these facilities. People expressed satisfaction over the facilities and thanked the Bhagwant Singh Mann Government.

Cabinet Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal met residents of his constituency and presented the report card of the Bhagwant Singh Mann Government. On the occasion, he also distributed ₹10 lakh health cards to numerous families.

During the door-to-door campaign, people warmly welcomed the ministers and party leaders. They expressed satisfaction over the facilities being provided by the government and thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann wholeheartedly. People stated that these efforts of the Bhagwant Singh Mann Government had reduced their household expenses and provided them with significant economic relief.

It is notable that a few days ago, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann launched the AAP’s door-to-door election campaign from Dhuri, beginning the process of taking the report card of his government’s four-and-a-half years of work directly to people’s homes.

During the campaign, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann placed ‘Mann de Munaffe’ at the centre of the election campaign and highlighted the direct financial benefits being received by people through the government’s work. He stated, “Through various initiatives, including free electricity, healthcare services, education and the ‘Maavan-Dheeyan Satkar Yojana’, every family is receiving an annual benefit of ₹1.82 lakh today.”

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann visited various homes in Dhuri and met families, interacting with people from different sections of society, including elderly people, women, youth and children. He listened to people’s views, discussed the work carried out by the government during the past four-and-a-half years and explained how various schemes and initiatives were directly benefiting common families.

During this, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann released a pamphlet and told the people:

Do not vote for Congress, Akali Dal or BJP even by mistake.

Voting for them can be very dangerous for you and your family.

If these parties come to power:

They will stop your free electricity. You will again have to pay bills worth thousands of rupees.

Ministers of the Akali and BJP governments used to sell drugs.

If they return, drugs will once again be sold openly in Punjab.

They will shut down all these Aam Aadmi Clinics.

They will close the accounts of our mothers and sisters, into which ₹3,000 or ₹4,500 are being deposited every three months.

The AAP government brought canal water to the fields. These parties will sell that canal water to Rajasthan and Haryana.

The AAP government started providing daytime electricity for agriculture. If you vote for them, you will once again have to stay awake all night waiting for electricity.

They will shut down the card that provides free treatment of up to ₹10 lakh in private hospitals.

They will stop the ‘Teerth Yatra’ and pensions for the elderly.

The Bhagwant Mann government worked hard to improve government schools. These parties will destroy all the schools again.

If these parties come to power, you will again have to pay bribes for government jobs.

Chief Ministers of every party have faced several allegations of corruption, but not a single allegation has been levelled against CM Bhagwant Mann. Bhagwant Mann is staunchly honest. This time, do not look at the party, look at your family. Vote for Bhagwant Mann and make him the Chief Minister. ‘Fer ek Var, Bhagwant Mann di Imandar Sarkar'.

An alliance has been formed between BJP and Akali Dal. Sources say that this alliance was formed on these terms: BJP will bring back three “black” farm laws in Parliament and this time Akali Dal will support them. Punjab’s water will be given to Haryana and Rajasthan. The BJP-led Central Government will take control of Chandigarh and Panjab University into its own hands.

What have these parties done in 75 years? They gave Punjab terrorism, drugs, dry fields, poverty, unemployment, broken schools and miserable hospitals. Their leaders sent their children to study in London and Canada while your children were sent to broken-down schools. They got their treatment in America while your hospitals lacked medicines and doctors. They had a complete monopoly over every business, including sand, liquor, cable and transport. Now, in the Mann Government, the money of the people of Punjab go directly into their pockets.
