Member Parliament Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal, Deputy Commissioner Akash Bansal and SSP Gaurav Toora on Tuesday conducted a comprehensive review of the preparations for the devotional programme 'Ek Sham Shiv Ke Naam' in Phagwara on August 13 at the playground of the School of Eminence.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal would participate in the event as devotees.

Member Parliament Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal, Deputy Commissioner Akash Bansal and SSP Gaurav Toora took stock of the arrangements related to the stage, seating, security, traffic management, parking, sanitation, drinking water, power supply, medical facilities, fire safety and other logistical requirements. They directed the concerned officials to complete all preparations by Wednesday and ensure that devotees and visitors do not face any inconvenience during the event.

Speaking on the occasion, MP Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal said all necessary arrangements would be put in place to facilitate the devotees. He stressed the need for seamless coordination among all departments to ensure the event is organized in a smooth and hassle-free manner. He informed that renowned Bollywood singer Kailash Kher will perform at the devotional programme.

Deputy Commissioner Akash Bansal instructed all departments to complete their responsibilities within the stipulated timeframe and ensure foolproof arrangements. He emphasized that special attention would be given to cleanliness, public amenities, emergency response, uninterrupted power and water supply, and other essential services at the venue.

SSP Gaurav Toora discussed the security and traffic management plan and directed police officials to make elaborate arrangements for law and order, crowd management, parking and smooth vehicular movement. He said adequate police personnel would be deployed at strategic locations to ensure the safety and convenience of devotees and the general public.

Prominent amongst those present on the occasion included Mayor Rampal Uppal, ADC Randeep Singh Heer, SDM Navjot Sharma and officials from other departments.
