Renowned architect Sanjay Goel was conferred with the prestigious Environmental Award of Excellence during the World Environment Day celebrations held at Ludhiana. The event was organized by the Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organisation (FICO) and attended by leading industry figures and Government dignitaries.
The award was presented by Tarunpreet Singh Sond, Minister of Industries & Commerce, Government of Punjab, in recognition of Goel's significant and sustained contributions to environmental sustainability, particularly in the fields of energy conservation and green architectural practices.
Goel was honoured along with several distinguished industrialists, including Padma Shri Onkar Singh Pahwa, acknowledging their collective efforts in promoting eco-friendly initiatives and sustainable development within the industrial sector.
The ceremony served as a platform to celebrate and encourage ongoing efforts toward environmental stewardship, with a strong message of commitment to a greener, more sustainable future.
Sanjay Goel, who was one of the Directors in LSCL (2016-2023) and Chairman of IIA-PC (2015-2023), is presently ECBC expert with PEDA and technical expert in LSCL.
He has designed many buildings in Punjab which are environment friendly.
