-- Resolution passed in the round table conference organized by Joshi Foundation against drug abuse

In a significant move to address the escalating issue of drug abuse in Punjab, a round table conference organized by the Joshi Foundation brought together various social and religious organizations, religious heads, and eminent personalities. It marked the beginning of a joint campaign aimed at eradicating drug abuse across Punjab. The conference was titled Uncontrollable Drug Menace - A Grave Challenge for Society especially Punjab, let’s Work Out Concrete Solution'.

During the conference, the experts put aside their ideological differences and committed to a united front in the fight against drug addiction. "If this campaign is not run across the entire state of Punjab, we risk losing an entire generation," said Joshi Foundation Chairman Vineet Joshi while addressing the media post-conference, adding that the consensus among all dignitaries was clear: without immediate and collective action, the future of Punjab's youth is at grave risk.

The conference organised by Joshi Foundation in collaboration with Baba Harjeet Singh Rasulpur, Chairman of the Nihang Baba Fakir Singh Foundation, and Dr. HK Bali, President of the Heart Foundation, was supported by Bharat Gaurav Sansthan.

The newly launched campaign will focus on awareness, education, and steps to increase physical activity among youth. It aims to engage communities at the grassroots level, providing them with the necessary tools and support to combat drug abuse effectively. The initiative will also include a series of outreach programs, workshops, and collaborations with local social organizations to ensure a comprehensive approach to this pervasive issue.
