Urges people to vote in large numbers on June 1
Khanna Senior Superintendent of Police Amneet Kondal on Thursday exercised her right to franchise through postal ballot at the facilitation centre.
After casting the vote through the postal ballot, the SSP said that no eligible person should remain behind to cast his/ her vote in biggest festival of democracy and the target of 70 % polling in Lok Sabha polls can be achieved. She said that the district administration had made adequate arrangements to facilitate the voters.
Urging people to cast their votes in large numbers to strengthen the democracy at grass root level on June 1, Kondal said that the administration had set up 2921 polling stations in whole district (1843 in Ludhiana Parliamentary constituency) in the district to facilitate nearly 2689481 electors in Ludhiana district, including 1433062 males, 1256270 females, and 149 third genders.
