RJ Kuldeep Singh Secures First Place and Rini Sharma Second in Poetry Recitation Competition

Ludhiana, September 20: Akashvani Ludhiana, All India Radio, organised a special programme on the occasion of Hindi Day under the leadership of Station Director Karamveer Karan. Dr. Neerotma Modgil attended the programme as the chief guest. During the event, the RJs and staff members of Akashvani expressed their interest and creativity towards the Hindi language.

The programme began with an essay-writing competition, followed by a poetry recitation competition. RJ Kuldeep Singh secured the first position, while RJ Rini Sharma stood second. In the short speech competition, RJ Gurvinder Singh bagged the first position and BA Niru Thakur secured the second position. The participants presented their compositions and views, showcasing their interest, knowledge and creativity in the Hindi language.

Chief guest Dr. Neerotma Modgil said that every person has a world of thoughts and emotions within them, which can be expressed through poetry and writing. She said that whenever one gets time, one should try to put their thoughts into written form. The habit of writing not only provides a medium to express one's emotions but also strengthens creative thinking.

She said that for the growth of any language, it is essential to increase its use in everyday life. Hindi has a rich literary tradition, and such literary and creative programmes play an important role in connecting the younger generation with the language.

On the occasion, Station Director Karamveer Karan extended his greetings on Hindi Day and said that the main objective of organising such programmes is to promote love for the language and encourage literary interest. He said that Akashvani continues to undertake various initiatives for the promotion and propagation of language and literature.
