The Indian Medical Association of Ludhiana organized a Candle March on Sunday, March 3rd, to strongly condemn the recent attack on innocent lives.
Dr. Manoj Sobti, Patron of IMA Ludhiana and member of the Punjab Medical Council, commended the efforts of the organizing team. He noted that the Candle March served as a powerful message against terrorism and honored the memory of those who were lost. He urged that the government should ensure safety at tourist places and make sure that such incidents are never repeated.
Dr. Dheeraj Aggarwal, President IMA Ludhiana said that Indian Medical Association strongly condemns the attack on the innocent tourists in pahalgam. We stand united against terrorism and pay our tributes and condolences to the families and the victims who have lost lives, for no fault of theirs.
Expressing profound sorrow, Dr. Ruchi Mutneja, Secretary of IMA Ludhiana, highlighted the deep sadness and shock felt by the association following the horrific attack in Pahalgam on April 22nd. She emphasized their unwavering commitment to peace during this time of grief, as healers and caregivers.
The Candle March witnessed the participation of over 50 doctors from the Indian Medical Association and garnered appreciation and support from the general public, demonstrating the widespread impact of the attack and the collective desire for peace.
