· Insecure Modi wants to malign Gandhis’ image; trying to build fake narrative: Warring
Punjab Congress today staged a massive demonstration against the chargesheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate against Ms Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
Led by the PCC president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, hundreds of Congress activists gathered at the Punjab Congress Bhawan and later marched towards the ED office in Sector 9. They were raising slogans against the Modi government with placards and banners.
Speaking on the occasion, Warring alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was feeling insecure and trying to create a fake narrative and perception against the Gandhi family. He observed that even Modi knows that there was nothing in the case and it will not stand the legal scrutiny.
But, the PCC president added, Modi wants to misuse the ED along with a pliant media, he wants to build up a perception of corruption against Ms Sonia Gandhi and Mr Rahul Gandhi.
Warring pointed out, Modi could not find a single thing against Gandhis' role during the ten years of UPA rule and then he took up the National Herald issue. “Where is the money which was laundered as Modi alleges?” he asked, adding, if Modi believes that he can malign the Gandhis with his fake narratives he is badly mistaken.
The Ludhiana MP jibed Modi that he was feeling jealous of the Gandhis for their history of great sacrifices for the country. “Modi will need to take seven births to match those sacrifices”, he remarked, while adding, now he (Modi) was trying just to malign their image and derive sadistic pleasure out of it.
