Demonstrating an exemplary commitment to social harmony, dignity of labour, and gratitude, the Educational Social Responsibility (ESR) Wing and the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Rayat Bahra Professional University, Hoshiarpur, organised a grand 'Milan Bhoj' in honour of more than 100 support staff members of the university.
The programme was graced by Hon'ble Former Member of Parliament Shri Avinash Rai Khanna Ji as the Chief Guest. He interacted warmly with the university's dedicated support staff—including sanitation workers, plumbers, gardeners, peons, electricians, and security personnel—and appreciated their invaluable contribution towards the smooth functioning of the institution.
Promoting the spirit of equality and inclusiveness, university dignitaries, faculty members, students, and support staff shared a meal together, creating an atmosphere of mutual respect, unity, and social harmony.
The annual event was organised under the guidance of Shri Avinash Rai Khanna Ji, Vice Chancellor Dr. Chandermohan, and NSS Programme Coordinator Dr. Pallavi Pandit, with the wholehearted support of Director Administration Shri Kuldeep Singh Rana and the hostel wardens.
A key highlight of the programme was the awareness campaign against food wastage. Delivering a strong message on responsible consumption and resource conservation, the university encouraged everyone to adopt the inspiring slogan:
"Take only as much as you need on your plate—let nothing go to waste."
Through this meaningful initiative, Rayat Bahra Professional University reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing socially responsible citizens and promoting a culture of compassion, gratitude, and sustainable living.
