Green Land Senior Secondary Public School Celebrates Van Mahotsav With A Mega Plantation Drive

Green Land Senior Secondary Public School celebrated Van Mahotsav with great enthusiasm and environmental awareness. The students of Classes IV to XII actively participated in a plantation drive organized on the school campus to promote the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable living.

During the programme, students planted saplings of various species, including Neem, Peepal, Banyan, Ashoka, Gulmohar, Amaltas, Jamun, Amla, Guava and several ornamental and flowering plants. The initiative aimed to encourage students to develop a sense of responsibility towards nature and understand the vital role trees play in maintaining ecological balance.

The students participated wholeheartedly in the activity and pledged to nurture the saplings with care. Teachers educated the students about the importance of afforestation, biodiversity conservation and the need to protect the environment for future generations.

The Chairman of the Chain of Green Land Schools, Dr. Rajesh Rudhra, stated that Van Mahotsav is a meaningful celebration that strengthens the bond between human beings and nature. He emphasized that every tree planted today is an investment in a healthier and greener tomorrow. He further encouraged students to become environmental ambassadors and contribute actively towards building a sustainable future.

The Principal Mrs Baldeep Pandher remarked that tree plantation is not merely an activity but a responsibility towards society and the environment. She highlighted that such initiatives help inculcate environmental values among young learners and inspire them to become responsible citizens.
